Microsoft Xbox Mobile Store Coming in 2024: Report

While Xbox is a prominent figure in the gaming world, it hasn’t yet secured the top position. To achieve this, it’s crucial for the brand to tap into other lucrative gaming platforms, notably mobile gaming. A recent episode of the Iron Lords podcast, featuring industry insider Tom Warren, shed light on Microsoft’s potential plans for the mobile gaming realm. Warren hinted at the launch of an Xbox mobile gaming store, which could be unveiled as early as 2024.

The gaming community has been abuzz with Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard. However, Warren believes that despite the completion of this acquisition, Xbox might not immediately integrate many of Activision Blizzard’s titles into the Game Pass.

Reportedly, there’s also anticipation around some older Call of Duty titles becoming available on the Xbox Game Pass soon. Interestingly, Warren clarified that it was Microsoft, not Activision, that resolved issues with the old 360 servers for Call of Duty.

Responding to speculations, Warren mentioned that he doesn’t foresee Activision Blizzard content being added to Game Pass in the immediate future. His choice of words suggests a more gradual integration approach, hinting at a strategic plan for incorporating these titles over time.
