Monster Hunting Cheatsheet Mega Maggot

Monster Hunting Cheatsheet Mega Maggot

Okay, pay attention, maggots, because I’m about to tell you how to beat the biggest bug of them all: the Mega Maggot. Plenty of players just like you have been beaten to a pulp by this Lords Mobile monster. But I know exactly how to beat it.

Want to know the secret? Well, you’re going to have to put in a little bit of work. You’ll need to read all the way through this guide to get the best lineups and strategies. Think you can manage that?

How to Attack Mega Maggot?

Attacking Mega MaggotAttacking Mega Maggot

Like other beasts and creatures that roam the kingdoms of Lords Mobile, this overgrown bug will appear on the Kingdom Map for 2 hours and 55 minutes at a time. Luckily, if you have the right tactics, you’ll be able to destroy it in a fraction of that time.

Even though it looks like it has a soft and squishy underbelly, the Mega Maggot is surprisingly resistant to physical attacks. What does that mean? Wow, I really have to spell everything out for you people, huh?

It means that your favorite strength heroes and hard-hitters with their axes and swords won’t be able to do much damage to this ugly worm. Instead, you’ll need to blast it to pieces with your favorite magic users (read: INT heroes).

But that’s not all! Mega Maggot also has poisonous attacks that will gradually wear down your party’s health bars. To counteract that, I recommend including a healer in your lineup, especially at higher levels.

Mega Maggot F2P Lineup

Beating the Mega Maggot might be tricky for wimps like you, but I do this for a living. I know all the best ways to beat every single monster in Lords Mobile. Since I’m feeling generous, I’ll share my F2P secret lineup with you.

But, before that, since I know you can’t be trusted to remember the basics, I have to remind you of some things. First, always use your high-powered heroes over low-level ones. The higher the level, the stronger and more durable your characters will be, giving them a better chance of survival.

Second, you might not have all of the heroes in these lineups maxed out, and you might be wondering “Can I swap one of them out for somebody else?” And since I have to explain everything to you, here’s the answer: yes, it’s fine to adjust the lineups and include similar alternative heroes.

With that taken care of, let’s look at the first lineup, designed to deal with low-level iterations of the Mega Maggot.

Level 1-3 Mega Maggot F2P Hero Lineup: Sage of Storms, Incinerator, Elementalist, Snow Queen, Bombin’ Goblin

This is a trusted lineup that I’ve used time and time again when dealing with monsters that are weak to magic, and it works. Incinerator and Elementalist are a match made in heaven, and the other members of the group help to maximize damage in various ways.

Level 4 Mega Maggot F2P Hero Lineup: Sage of Storms, Incinerator, Elementalist, Snow Queen, Prima Donna

As you advanced to higher levels, the Mega Maggot’s bite will hit harder, and you’ll need someone to heal up your troops and keep you in the fight. That’s why I recommend bringing in everyone’s favorite healer, Prima Donna, in place of Bombin’ Goblin.

Level 5 Mega Maggot F2P Hero Lineup: Child of Light, Incinerator, Elementalist, Snow Queen, Prima Donna

Finally, for level 5 encounters, leave Sage of Storms on the sidelines and recruit Child of Light. This lineup works best, and I’m right about everything, so you just need to accept that and use it.

Mega Maggot P2P Lineup

If you think you’re too fancy and special to use F2P heroes, or if you’re simply someone who likes throwing money at games to make them easier, you’ll probably want to know about the best P2P lineups for handling Mega Maggot.

Luckily, I can help you with that too. I’m still going to include a couple of freebie heroes in these lineups, simply because they do the job just as well as any paid heroes, but I’ll bring in some P2P helpers to make things easier.

Level 1-3 Mega Maggot P2P Hero Lineup: Incinerator, Elementalist, Storm Fox, Dream Witch, Petite Devil

As you can see, I’m sticking with the classic Incinerator and Elementalist combo for this lineup, but I’m also adding Dream Witch, Storm Fox, and Petite Devil. This lineup always gets results against foes that are weak to magic, especially at low levels.

Level 4 Mega Maggot P2P Hero Lineup: Incinerator, Elementalist, Dream Witch, Petite Devil, Twilight Priestess

Again, as the Mega Maggot gets stronger, you’ll need to adjust your lineup to compensate. I recommend bringing in Twilight Priestess and dropping Storm Fox for level 4 battles to get more disables.

Level 5 Mega Maggot P2P Hero Lineup: Incinerator, Elementalist, Dream Witch, Petite Devil, Vengeful Centaur

Finally, at level 5, you need to mix things up a bit. I know, I said that magic users work best against Mega Maggot, but in this one specific instance, we’re bringing in a strength hero: Vengeful Centaur. This big bad hammer-wielding warrior has stun potential and can deal immense damage, even to beasts that are usually resistant to physical hits.

Mega Maggot Rewards

Once you get into the habit of beating Mega Maggot regularly, thanks to my unbeatable lineup recommendations, you’ll be able to start claiming some interesting rewards and prizes. Here’s everything you can get from the Mega Maggot, presented in a simple list since I know you struggle with long sentences.

Mega Maggot rewardsMega Maggot rewards
  • Chest (Common to Legendary, depending on the level)
  • Speed Up (Between 1h and 24h)
  • Shield (8h to 3d)
  • Gems (200 to 1,000)
  • Gold (15k to 600k)
  • Corrosive Toxin
  • Maggot Tail
  • Maggot Teeth
  • Mega Barb
  • Mega Egg-sac

Ew. Who would even want to collect Maggot Teeth or something called a “Mega Egg-sac?” Well, if you want to complete the Mega Maggot Set, you’ll need all of those. They’re key crafting materials, and you can use them to craft some very interesting items.

Gears

Beat the Mega Maggot enough times and you’ll have the materials you need to make Mega Maggot Set items, including a useful accessory and some armor pieces. In general, this set is a little like you: not very impressive, but it has its uses. Let’s take a closer look:

Gear SetGear Set
  • Blight Ring – Probably my favorite part of the whole set. This accessory (at Mythic level) can grant you up to 21% boosts to army HP and DEF, as well as 19.6% more ranged ATK and a whopping 35% extra wall DEF. It’s very handy to have in certain situations, and it’s not too time-consuming to make.
  • Grimy Plate – The Grimy Plate is the most basic part of the set. It’s super cheap to make, with only a few key materials needed, but it’s not going to suddenly transform the way you play. It only offers minimal stat benefits, like a 14% wall DEF boost, 12.6% more infantry HP, and an 11.2% increase to infantry ATK.
  • Shadow Helm – This helmet has a cool name and neat design, and it’s not half-bad in terms of stats. It gives you 42% more ATK and DEF to traps, as well as 14% extra infantry ATK and 21% wall DEF. It’s pretty cheap and easy to craft, so it might be something to focus on if you don’t have enough materials saved up for the Blight Ring.
  • Orb of Pestilence – This is an off-hand that helps out with traps, providing 63% more trap HP and 42% extra trap ATK, in addition to 15.4% more cavalry ATK power.

The Mega Maggot set is one of the few gear sets that boost traps.

Mega Maggot Packs

Just like most other monsters in Lords, Mega Maggot has its own chests you can buy and open to get the materials much faster, without any effort. So, if you’re as lazy as I think you are, that’s something you might want to consider.

Final Thoughts

So, to sum up, the best way to beat Mega Maggot is with strong magic users. With good lineups, including the likes of Elementalist and Incinerator, you can blast this squishy worm to pieces. Just make sure your intelligence heroes are leveled up and strong enough to take a few hits.

There you go. Once again, I’ve saved you from the humiliation of being crushed by a big fat bug. You’re welcome! So do me a favor and check out these cool shirts.
