Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Officially Set for Season 2

Fans of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, it is time to rejoice. After arriving last year, the isekai anime is now getting a second season, with production already underway. This announcement comes via the show’s official Twitter account, but was also shared during the screening event for the unaired episode from the first season on March 6.

However, there is no set release date just yet for season two, and no other information has been shared about what could go on this time around. Picking things up where we left off, it is likely we will see more of what happens to Rudeus as he continues to grow up. His time at the Ranoa Magical Academy should make for some fun viewing if it is indeed part of the new season.

Fans also have something more to look forward to in addition to the second season. with a special OVA set to debut in Japan in the coming weeks.

For those unfamiliar with Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, here is the official synopsis for the web novel turned anime:

An unemployed otaku has just reached the lowest point in his life. He wants nothing more than the ability to start over, but just as he thinks it may be possible…he gets hit by a truck and dies! Shockingly, he finds himself reborn into an infant’s body in a strange new world of swords and magic. His identity now is Rudeus Greyrat, yet he still retains the memories of his previous life. Reborn into a new family, Rudeus makes use of his past experiences to forge ahead in this fantasy world as a true prodigy, gifted with maturity beyond his years and a natural-born talent for magic. With swords instead of chopsticks, and spell books instead of the internet, can Rudeus redeem himself in this wondrous yet dangerous land?
