After experiencing significant growth fuelled by the success of its B2C brands, LuckyCasino and HappyCasino, as well as the rising popularity of its B2B content house, Swintt, Glitnor Group has announced the appointment of Richard Brown as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective January 2024.

Bringing with him extensive industry experience from his previous role as CEO of Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), Brown is well-equipped to lead Glitnor to even greater achievements. With over 15 years of involvement in the iGaming sector in various C-level and managerial positions, his appointment is considered a significant move for the group as it continues its expansion.

During his tenure at GiG, Brown oversaw a highly successful period marked by market entries and notable acquisitions, culminating in record revenues for the company in Q1 2023. Now, he will leverage his strong leadership and business development skills to replicate similar results for Glitnor.

Assuming his new position at the start of 2024, Brown will guide Glitnor during an important and exciting phase for the business. The group aims to expand its global presence by strengthening its iGaming operations and game development studios in Europe, North America, and LatAm.

Since its establishment in 2018, Glitnor has experienced remarkable growth and currently employs around 200 team members worldwide. The company was shortlisted for multiple categories at the EGR Nordics Awards, including the prestigious Employer of the Year 2023. Additionally, its B2B content house, Swintt, received recognition by being nominated in five categories at the recent EGR B2B Awards.

Given Glitnor’s prominent position in the industry and ambitious plans for the future, Brown will have ample opportunity to utilise his business acumen and experience in both public and private markets. This will contribute to further capitalising on the group’s strong foothold across multiple markets and verticals.

Jörgen Nordlund, Co-founder at Glitnor Group, expressed his confidence in Brown’s appointment, stating: “By appointing Richard, I believe Glitnor has secured one of the industry’s top C-level talents, and I’m looking forward to the positive impact he’ll have on our business as we look to strengthen our brands and enter more markets in the future.”

Richard Brown, the incoming CEO at Glitnor Group, expressed his excitement about joining the company, saying: “I am honoured to take on the role of CEO of Glitnor Group. The teams have built a fantastic position in the industry, and I look forward to working with them to capitalise on the numerous opportunities ahead.”

“The Group’s long-term ambition is impressive, and I am extremely excited to help contribute toward achieving those goals for the business, its staff, and its shareholders.”

Brown acknowledged his successful tenure at GiG and his eagerness to embrace a new challenge within one of the most exciting business groups in the iGaming industry. He concluded, “I very much look forward to starting in the New Year.”
