New Major ‘Monster Hunter Now’ Version 70 Update Has Performance Improvements, Hunt-a-thon Changes, and More on iOS and Android – TouchArcade

TouchArcade Rating:

Niantic and Capcom just pushed out the major version 70.0 update for Monster Hunter Now (Free) on iOS and Android. This update has performance improvements, hunt-a-thon adjustments, improvements to item deletion, adjustments for various weapons, and more. The countdown for waiting for others will not reset if you return from the Equipment screen to the lobby. Deleting rarity 4 or higher materials now results in a confirmation prompt. Niantic claims performance is better now when playing at higher image quality and 60fps. I didn’t notice much different on iPhone 15 Pro though. For Android, Gyro support has been improved in today’s Monster Hunter Now update. On the weapon side, Sword and Shield and Long Sword see fixes.

One important thing to note is that Barioth, Wulg, and Cortos will not be included in Hunt-a-thons and the field around March 13th. The Fulminations in the Frost quest will also not be available after that and rewards need to be claimed before. It is going to be interesting to see how the next update is handled with content. If you’ve not played the game recently or are planning to just start playing, I put together some (newly updated) tips and tricks for the game, details on the weapons, special skills, the current monsters list, my wishlist for future update monsters, and more. You can grab Monster Hunter Now on the App Store for iOS here and on Google Play for Android here. The in app purchases include different sets of gems and upgrades. Check out the official website here. What do you think of Monster Hunter Now if you’ve been playing it and what do you think of today’s update?
