Jesse Marsch’s Leeds departure: As it happened

Jesse Marsch was appointed as Leeds manager in February of 2022 and guided the club to Premier League safety amid a difficult run-in at the end of last season.

The start of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign offered reasons for optimism among the Leeds fanbase as the Whites kicked off the season with a return of seven points from the opening three games/

However, form rapidly tailed off beyond this point despite heavy investment in the playing staff with Marsch only overseeing two wins in the club’s next 17 Premier League games.

Leeds’ decision to sack Marsch came on Monday morning in the aftermath of Sunday’s dismal 1-0 away defeat against Premier League new boys Nottingham Forest.
