The Novomatic Interactive Division Greentube are today celebrating being awarded a coveted licence by iGaming Ontario, which will allow them to operate in the newly regulated Canadian province. The acquisition of the licence from iGaming Ontario, follows on from other launches in Canada, including British Columbia, Manitoba and Quebec.
Furthermore Greentube continue to grow their presence in the North American continent, having already been provided with licenses to operate in the regulated States of New Jersey and Michigan in the US.
Ontario implemented regulation of online gambling earlier this year and the potential lucrative market has seen many of the big operators and casino game studios apply for licensing in the new regulated jurisdiction. On the flip side, operators that either have not applied for or indeed been awarded a licence have exited the newly regulated market.
Speaking about obtaining a licence from iGaming Ontario, Greentube’s Michael Bauer said: “We have already established a successful base in Canada through our presence in the regulated provinces of British Columbia, Manitoba and Quebec and we are very excited to have gained an Ontario licence.”
“It is a region of great potential for the iGaming industry, and we look forward to partnering with operators in Ontario to deliver our first-class content to their players.”
