Optic Texas eliminate Los Angeles Guerrillas from CDL while London Royale Ravens manages to move for next stage

OpTic Texas showed up on top during the craziest battle of the Call of Duty League Major champions, as they swept and eliminated the Los Angeles Guerrillas from Major Three.

Los Angeles Guerrillas, who won the latest Major of the season, are the second team to be sent home from the Toronto event after a loss to OpTic in the losers bracket. After several meta and roster changes, the Los Angeles Guerrillas have visibly struggled to find the success they managed to achieve for that one event.

OpTic fought a long time against the Florida Mutineers on day one of the Toronto Major but unfortunately lost in five games, which placed them in the losers bracket early. Despite the disappointment, OpTic showed why they are the best during the first two rounds of the best-of-five series. The Bocage Hardpoint had OpTic in control for the majority of the game and saw Dashy drop almost 40 kills for a total 1.37 kill to death ratio.

Winning by 250-186, OpTic decided to play Berlin for the Search and Destroy. Seth “Scump” Abner showed his veterancy, clutching a one-vs-four situation and ending the map with 11 kills and four deaths for a finished 6-2 win. After a strong first map, Dashy finished the Search and Destroy with zero kills overall.

That dominance carried into the next game, Berlin Control, where Dashy and Scump continued to create chaos around the map and causing problems for the Los Angeles Guerrillas. After the first round of Control, the dynamic duo was already double-positive while the Guerrillas were barely able to go even. At the end, OpTic won with a 3-1 scoreline in Control and a 3-0 smashing win in the series.

While the Guerrillas will be heading back home, OpTic Texas will remain in Canada to play the London Royal Ravens in the next round of the losers bracket.

Now talking about the The London Royal Ravens, they have sent the New York Subliners home early at the Call of Duty League’s third Major.

Despite showing dominance in the Pro-Am Classic after the mid-season break, the Subliners were unable to find recent success once the CDL regular season started. The team went 3-2 during the qualifiers before losing an extremely close game five, round 11 against the Seattle Surge on the very first day of the tournament.

London were in command throughout the majority of the tournament and started out quite well on the Berlin Hardpoint. There was nothing that the Subliners could do to stop the hemorrhage as the Ravens broke in and held almost every point throughout the game as soon as it appeared. Thus, the Subliners were out-skilled at every instance with each of the London Royal Ravens dropping at least a positive 1.05 kill to death ratio. This theme continued throughout the entire series.

Now we are waiting for the series between OpTic Texas versus London Royal Ravens, most predictions point towards OpTic winning the overall game, however you can’t expect it to be easy when the Royal Ravens are thriving with confidence after the recent win.
