The limited-time Starwatch event will start on May 9 and run until May 22, giving players plenty of time to see what Galactic Rescue has to offer.

Upcoming events after Galactic Rescue include the Battle for Olympus and the Symmetra Challenge.

Overwatch 2 Galactic Rescue: How It Works

The Overwatch 2 Season 4‘s Starwatch Galactic Rescue event sees players exploring a reworked Horizon Lunar Colony map. As a 4v4 playlist in the arcade modes, two teams are split into Watchers and the Infinite Empire, as they must battle their way through new objectives.

There are some slight PvE elements, as the Infinite Empire has turrets and NPC mobs fighting for their side. We’ll include a full walkthrough/tips when the game mode has been released.

There is a twist – like previous limited events like Loverwatch, players can only select certain heroes, as listed below.

Watchers

  • Bonebreaker Doomfist
  • Extraterrestrial Winston
  • Intergalactic Smuggler Ashe
  • Space Prince Lucio

Infinite Empire

  • Galactic Emperor Sigma
  • Infinite Ace D.Va
  • Infinite Annihilator Bastion
  • Seer Mercy

Most of these skins, like Extraterrestrial Winston and Bonebreaker Doomfist, are available on the premium battle pass, purchasable with in-game currency.
