Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Rollback Netcode Now Live

Just in time for EVO 2022, the rollback netcode for Atlus West and Arc System Works’ Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is now live.

Wondering what rollback netcode is? Gamerant explains it quite well, stating that it treats both players inputs as local, with the opponent signified as a remote player. With this system in place, each local machine “predicts” what their opponent will do next. Correct predictions have the game play smoothly, while incorrect ones will have the gameplay shifted to the correct gameplay state.
