Petite Devil (Beatrix)

Petite Devil is a ranged intelligence hero who deals magic damage, and she can be quite helpful in several game modes. She is a famous pay-to-play (P2P) hero mainly used for Colosseum battles. Her Battle and Hero Skills are more than decent, and she ranks as one of the best P2P heroes, in my opinion.

If you actually read what I write (or better yet, retain some of it), you’ll know that I prefer even admin stats over DEF. For this reason, I put Petite Devil above heroes with DEF boosts like Grove Guardian or Mastercook. Mind you, she’s still not great, but it’s something.

Who Is Petite Devil? 

If you’re wondering who Petite Devil is and what’s her story, you didn’t come to the right place. I am wondering that myself as, yet again, IGG didn’t give much thought to this aspect. Petite Devil’s real name is Beatrix. She has a heart of gold, so her brethren banished her for it. Even though she is kind, her thoughts on death and dismemberment scare others. 

A whole three sentences. That’s got to be some kind of a record for P2P heroes. 

Petite Devil Score

I always like to start judging heroes based on their looks and backstory. I’m not a shallow person, but I like being toxic toward the graphic designers of Lords Mobile. 

Regarding her look, I can’t decide whether Petite Devil escaped from Stephen King’s “IT” or she is one of the characters in “Alice in Wonderland” and is about to cut off the head of Alice. She looks a bit creepy, to be honest, with devil wings and a tail. Everything is small about her, which makes her look even more dreadful. Maybe it’s the pixelation.

As for the backstory, there’s nothing much to say since she doesn’t have any. 

However, her Battle and Hero Skills are worth mentioning since she has a good skill set. She can be used in different modes effectively and is one of the best P2P heroes and the best ranged P2P hero. Judging by my standards, at least, as they are the only ones that matter. 

Overall, Petite Devil gets 8/10, the only downside being her backstory and looks, which are the less critical elements of a hero.

Specifications

Beatrix is arguably the best ranged pay-to-play hero in the game, starting with her Battle Skills and the boosts she provides to the army. 

• Devil’s Temptation: Deals up to 200% squad ATK as DMG to enemy troops.
• Research Boost: As the name suggests, this skill increases the research speed by up to 25%.
• Ranged HP Boost: When deployed, Petite Devil increases the max HP of ranged units by up to 50%.
• Ranged ATK Boost: This skill increases the ATK of ranged units by up to 30% when deployed.

Petite Devil is one of the best ranged troop heroes overall. She provides range ATK and HP boosts just like Snow Queen. An admin skill is a good addition; she can boost it up to 25% when upgraded to Legendary grade. Include her in your lineup, and you won’t regret it. 

Let’s move on to Beatrix’s Hero Skills:

• Devil’s Lullaby: Her ultimate deals damage to all enemies, stunning them for 5s. 
• Annoying Flash: The name fits the skill as Petite Devil unleashes a blinding ray at her enemies. Anyone standing in line, in mid-range, will be damaged while Beatrix restores her HP.
• Prank: Throws a bomb at enemies, dealing damage and magic damage for 6s. 
• Devil’s Lineage: Beatrix’s gets a passive MATK boost.

Her Hero Skillset is excellent for the Colosseum. She can deal a lot of damage with all her spells, especially her ult. In addition, she can stun all her enemies and blind them while at the same time healing herself.

How to Unlock Petite Devil

You can unlock Beatrix by purchasing “The Playful Devil” or “A New Adventure” Bundles. The former is only available once every three weeks per the rotation schedule. This pack gives 15/15/20/35 medals for $4.99, $19.99, $49.99, and $99.99. If you want to max her out in one go, it will cost you $800, while the pack’s option costs $110.

The latter bundle, or “A New Adventure,” can be bought once and is available from the start. It gives 15/20/20/25 medals and can contain some medals for another Lords Mobile hero, Witch Doll ($19.99 and $49.99 packs). Petite Devil packs in this bundle cost $1.99, $4.99, $19.99, and $49.99.

You can also obtain more medals for Beatrix from “Limited Challenges.” The first “Limited Challenges” event was “Trick vs. Treat” in December 2020.

TL:DR; Buy packs; Petite Devil costs $110 to max at least.

Petite Devil and The Colosseum

Even though Petite Devil is a pay-to-play hero, she is worth buying, considering that apart from significant army boosts, she can also be used to great effect in the Colosseum. I wouldn’t rank her as one of the best P2P Colosseum heroes, but she can take down enemies easily with her AOE and CC abilities. However, she can’t tank too much damage and is quickly killed. 

Rallying With Petite Devil

Even to the slower ones among you (a weirdly high proportion, I’d say), it should be obvious that Beatrix is a great ranged commander. Her ranged unit boosts are helpful in both attack and defense. With two “When Deployed” boosts increasing your army stats, be sure to send her into battle.

Monster Hunting With Petite Devil

With her high magic damage, Petite Devil can provide high damage output for Monster hunting. She will do better against monsters with low MDEF and stacks extremely well with other INT heroes. Use her alongside a tank or healer since she can die pretty quickly if the enemy focuses her.

Tips and Trivia

• Petite Devil came out in April 2016.
• In December 2020, the “Trick vs. Treat” limited challenge allowed the players to obtain Petite Devil for free and contained unique tasks for this hero.
• F2P Alternatives: Snow Queen is a good alternative to Beatrix with the same type of troop boosts (Range ATK and HP). Other excellent ranged heroes are Tracker, Death Archer, and Black Crow. 
• P2P Alternatives: Good pay-to-play options are Grove Guardian and Mastercook, both with the same range unit boosts (ATK, DEF, and HP). Etherial Guide is another alternative with Range ATK and HP boosts. But if you already have a choice, choose Grove Guardian or Mastercook over Etherial Guide.
