Phone Evolution is a runner game that sees you in control of an old cell phone. There are gates to pass through and they move time forward, evolving your phone as they do. You’re aiming to hit the future and have the most stylish mobile possible. 

Of course, that’s a pretty difficult ask, which is why we’ve written this guide. We’ve played a good chunk of Phone Evolution and discovered what we think are the most useful strategies to help you take your phone game to the next level.

Blue is best

When you’re moving down the path, you want to keep an eye out for the blue gates. These are the ones that will move your phone forwards in time. Red gates will do the opposite. Since you get more cash the further forward in time you are, you should always be hitting the blue gates. 

Do the math

Sometimes there are multiple blue gates to choose from and you need to pick which is going to be the best. More often than not it’s pretty obvious, but there are times when you’ll have to do some quick sums to work out which offers the biggest push forward. 

Upgrade often

You should increase your stats whenever you get the chance. You do that before you start each level, and the game will show you if you’ve got enough cash to unlock the next upgrade. Try and upgrade evenly and don’t fret about watching videos to increase your power. 

Accessorize

There are special gates that let you add accessories to your mobile phone. They might not be the most stylish additions, but they’ll add more cash to your pocket at the end of the level so it’s well worth hitting them to increase your haul. 

New phones

There are new phones you can unlock by watching videos when you’ve completed enough levels. These are entirely cosmetic and there’s a chance you’re not going to see them very often anyway. If you want to unlock them, go for it, but it’s nowhere near the end of the world if you don’t.
