Prince of Thieves (Kassim)

Prince of Thieves (Kassim)

I don’t really understand why you would play this hero if you’re interested in war. He has logistic and administration skills, but it’s best to keep Prince of Thieves in the castle doing his research (Sounds interesting, I know).

There aren’t many useful things about this hero, but I must admit that he is not entirely useless either. Even though you probably won’t use him in your lineups. Read on to learn more about the Prince of Thieves, my rating of this hero, and how to utilize his worthlessness.

“I may be a thief, but I keep my honor.” – Kassim

Who Is the Prince of Thieves?

Who is Prince of ThievesWho is Prince of Thieves

The Prince of Thieves’ real name is Kassim. He grew up in a small village. Eventually, the town fell to ruin under the weight of heavy taxation. That means the people couldn’t keep up with their payments.

Following so far?

He couldn’t stand seeing his friends and family being extorted, so Kassim became an outlaw. As a fugitive, he started stealing from the rich and giving to the poor. Sounds familiar?

This Lords Mobile Robin Hood soon earned a bounty on his head. But since he was helping people, none of the villagers wanted to report him to the authorities. They gave him the nickname “Prince of Thieves.”

Kassim is one of the game’s less-used heroes, which doesn’t surprise me. Yes, he can speed up your research, but compared to others, that’s not that great. Moreover, his story is a total ripoff of Robin Hood. Clearly, the developers have pushed their creativity to the max with this one.

Kassim is a decent debuffer with a Disarmed skill and enemy ATK reduction. However, considering he is pay to play and still sucks, he is definitely losing points all around.

This is me being generous, giving him a 5/10.

Specifications

If you made it this far, I guess you really want to give this hero a chance. That’s fine by me, just don’t come crying when he doesn’t deliver. Kassim’s abilities aren’t bad per se, but there’s a big void where he could’ve been better.

Let’s start with Battle Skills:

Battle skillsBattle skills
  • Arabian Knight: A tactics skill that deals squad ATK as DMG up to 200% to enemy troops.
  • Research Boost: His passive adds research speed up to 25%.
  • Impenetrable Defense: This “When Deployed” skill gives Army DEF up to 25%.
  • Army Attack Boost: This one is pretty obvious. When deployed, it increases Army ATK up to 20%.

Research Boost is a little stretch if you ask me, especially considering you have to pay to get him. However, he gives Army some ATK and DEF boost when deployed, so he’s not complete trash.

Hero Skills:

Hero SkillsHero Skills
  • Blade Toss: Kassim tosses his scimitars at enemies dealing damage. Enemies in line are hit two times each. This ability also procs Disarmed for 5 seconds. And yes, this is his Ultimate Ability.
  • Swirling Scimitar: When Kassim throws a scimitar at the enemy, it bounces six times between enemies and deals damage while reducing CRIT for 5 seconds.
  • Rending Strike: This passive ability cuts enemies with both scimitars. With each strike enemy’s barrier and shields are dispelled.
  • Thief’s Tricks: Lurking in the shadows, Kassim waits for the best opportunity to reveal himself and strike. Enemy ATK is also reduced with this passive.

He can make a good commander considering his passive ability, Thief’s Tricks. The ultimate is not bad either, with AOE damage and Disarmed. Still, this is not nearly enough for Kassim to be useful. And since he is P2P, don’t even consider picking him for your lineup.

How to Unlock Prince of Thieves

To unlock this hero, you need to break out your mom’s credit card and buy the “Honor Among Thieves” package for $4.99. The pack gives you 15 medals, enough to upgrade this Prince of Ripoffs to Uncommon or “Green.” Higher rankings are going to cost you.

There are two ways to max this hero and get all 150 medals; buying packages every few weeks or maxing him all at once. If you’re willing to go slow, you can save a bit of money and only spend $110. But for those of you who can’t wait to see this hero in all his “glory,” you’ll have to ask for a boost in your allowance – $800, to be exact.

Is he worth it? Most decidedly not. But who am I to tell you how to spend your parents’ cash?

Prince of Thieves and Colosseum

You can put Kassim in your lineup for Colosseum, but in most cases, you will lose more than you gain. Even though some of his skills are useful, there are way better heroes to use. Kassim is rated one of the worst Army Defense heroes.

It would be best to utilize the heroes who give three different stats in combat. Unlike those heroes, the fake Robin Hood here gives only two stats, 20% Army ATK and 25% DEF. Furthermore, he is also rated one of the worst as an infantry hero.

Rallying With Prince of Thieves

Since the best way to rally is to send your hero, Prince of Thieves might not be a good choice here. Prince of Thieves has 25% Infantry DEF boosts, which is pretty useless for rallying. In contrast, his attack boost might do some decent damage, and the passive could help salvage combat. It’s not a ringing endorsement, but if you’ve read this far, I’m guessing my warnings aren’t hitting home.

Monster Hunting With Prince of Thieves

Considering his abilities and skills, I wouldn’t recommend using Prince of Thieves for hunting. There are better alternatives out there – read, “Nearly anyone is better.” But if you want to use this hero, have him stay in the castle and research. Yes, that’s really the only good use I can come up with for him.

Tips and Trivia

  • The Prince of Thieves joined the game in December 2016.
  • F2P Alternatives: Choose Demon Slayer and Oath Keeper instead of Kassim since their stats boost Infantry ATK and HP.
  • P2P Alternatives: The paid heroes that would serve you much better than Kassim are Twilight Priestess with Infantry ATK, DEF, and HP boosts. Grim Wolf can also be a good option, but he only has a 25% HP boost, compared to Demon Slayer, Oath Keeper, and Twilight Priestess, with 50% HP boosts.
