Format and Schedule

Hosted offline at the Riyadh Boulevard, the competition takes place between 13th and 16th July, each day offering Rainbow Six betting.

With $2,000,000 up for grabs, the following teams are competing at the event:

  • Invited: G2 Esports, Oxygen Esports, w7m Esports, Team Falcons
  • Europe: Team BDS
  • North America: North America
  • South America: Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • CYCLOPS athlete gaming: Korea & Japan

Overall, there are two stages of competition, starting with a Group Stage and followed by Playoffs where each stages takes two days to complete. Here are how the Group shave been randomly seeded:

  • A: G2 Esports, Team Falcons, Ninjas in Pyjamas, M80
  • B: w7m Esports, Oxygen Esports, Team BDS, CYCLOPS athlete gaming

Although the format for the Groups and Playoffs remain to be confirmed, the format is very likely to be similar to last year’s iteration. Specifically a double elimination bracket (GSL) format group means that only the top 2 from each group move on to the Playoffs, each match primed with Rainbow Six betting odds.

Once in the Playoffs, a single elimination bracket will determine which team comes out on top and makes the most from this exciting prize pool.

With regards to the R6S Gamers8 schedule, matches are yet to be determined at the time of publishing

Moreover, in this R6S Gamers8 betting preview, we’ll be taking a look at each group and predicting the top 2 teams.

R6S Gamers8 2023: Betting Preview

Group A

R6S Gamers8 2023: Betting Preview

  1. G2 Esports (4.5)
  2. M80 (6.0)
  3. Ninjas in Pyjamas (9.0)
  4. Team Falcons (17.0)

Starting with Group A, G2 Esports are definitely the favourites here for esports betting. Specifically, after placing first at the Six Invitational 2023 earlier this year, G2 Esports looks to continue their form at this particular event. Otherwise, they’ve placed second at the Europe League Stage 1, 5-8th at the BLAST R6 Copenhagen Major.

Ranked second according to the outright odds, M80 is a North American team making great strides forward. With achievements such as placing first at the North America League 2023, they also placed first in the North American Qualifier.

Meanwhile, NiP is an intriguing South American team which have competed on the international level before, winning the Six Invitational 2021. However, since then, they haven’t had much to show for and hence, are not likely to place in the top 2.

Finally, Team Falcons is a local Saudi Arabian team with a strong record in the MENA region (Middle-East and North Africa), winning the MENA League 2023 Stage 1. However, the MENA region is considered weak compared to others, ranking them last in the outright esports odds.

Group B

R6S Gamers8 2023: Betting Preview

  1. w7m Esports (3.75)
  2. Team BDS (4.5)
  3. Oxygen Esports (6.5)
  4. CYCLOPS Athlete Gaming (17.0)

For those unaware, w7m Esports walked away as the champions of BLAST R6 Major Copenhagen 2023 recently, while also placing third at the Brazil League 2023 Stage 1. Following their performance at Six Invitational 2023, placing second, they’ve maintained an impresive run and hence, are the favourite in this particular group.

Furthermore, ranked second according to the esports odds, Team BDS are on the path of trying to maintain their incredible 2022 run, where they notably won the Gamers8 2022 competition and the Six Jonkoping Major. Placing 7-8th at the Six Invitational 2023, their chances here aren’t ranked that high, though they’re the favourite for the second seed.

Vywing in the upper ranks of the North American competition, Oxygen Esports have recently impressed with their third place finish at Six Invitational 2023. Despite this, their inconsistent performances make them difficult to favour, though they have every chance of contesting Team BDS for the second place spot.

Meanwhile, the typical story is that CYCLOPS Athlete Gaming, the seed from a less competitive region, is least likely to make it out of the Group Stage. While we love an underdog story, it’s difficult to root for them here.
