Redemption Reapers Announced – Strategy RPG Out in February 2023 for PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch

After some teases last week, Binary Haze Interactive has finally revealed its next project – a strategy RPG called Redemption Reapers. Developed by Adglobe, which also worked with the publisher on Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights, it’s out in February 2023. Check out the announcement trailer below, courtesy of IGN.

The story centers on the ruthless Mort that lay waste to the lands. But while cities and nations fall, a group of mercenaries known as the Ashen Hawk Brigade appears to push them back. Each member of the Brigade has unique roles and skills but also committed sins in the past. During combat, players must emphasize combos and sneak attacks while upgrading each member with better gear (which can also be crafted).

Binary Haze Interactive CEO Hiroyuki Kobayashi said in a press release, “Following the success of Ender Lilies, we aimed to approach a new genre ideal for sharing our love of dark fantasy stories. Redemption Reapers‘ tactical RPG combat and emotional storytelling combine for a memorable experience we cannot wait to share with the world in early 2023.”

Industry veteran Masayuki Horikawa (Advance Wars 1 and 2, Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, and Super Smash Bros) leads the project. Voiceover talent like Lucien Dodge (The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel), Kyle McCarley (13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, NieR: Automata), David Lodge (Persona 5, Final Fantasy 15), and Allegra Clark (Apex Legends, Dragon Age: Inquisition) are also involved with English and Japanese voiceovers supported. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
