Riichi City x Lycoris Recoil Collab Brings Chisato and Takina to the Digital Board Game – Droid Gamers

Ever wanted your favourite anime series to collaborate with… Mahjong? Well, with the Riichi City x Lycoris Recoil event, you can do just that. While Riichi City already features a range of anime girls, the popular main protagonists from Lycoris will become obtainable during the collab period – running from October 9 to October 28!

Which Characters Are Available in the Riichi City x Lycoris Recoil Collaboration?

It isn’t just Chisato and Takina that are making an appearance in the Riichi City x Lycoris Recoil event – you’ll also be able to obtain Kurumi and Mizuki from the series too. From the looks of it, each character gets a secondary variation, with a much more detailed outfit and stronger stats. 

The latter variant of each Lycoris Recoil character will be more difficult to obtain due to the nature of the gacha system. Still, if you’re happy with just obtaining the 4 characters in general, you’ll have a higher chance of obtaining the standard versions.

An Odd Collab… Contextually

If you’ve watched Lycoris Recoil, it’s probably a little strange to see the franchise collaborating with a Mahjong gacha game, but I digress. Admittedly, I could see Lycoris Recoil working with Blue Archive or Girls Frontline – it would make a lot more sense context-wise.

However, I’m not opposed to quirky collabs here and there. I’m not a Mahjong player myself, but those who do like it, whilst also liking gacha games, will definitely feel right at home with this one.

What Else Can We Expect?

Other than that, it’s not clear what the collaboration will entail aside from the new limited-time characters. If I were to hazard a guess, there may be a game mode or event mission that is tied to the Lycoris Recoil franchise. But this time, I think we’ll have to wait and see. 

Additionally, you can also purchase in-game outfits for each of the Riichi City x Lycoris Recoil collaboration characters. Although, they do cost real money.
