Sid Expresses Disappointment With Team SouL’s Performance, Acknowledges It Wasn’t “Super Bad”

As the dust settled, Blind Esports emerged as the champions of the Skyesports Championship 5.0 BGMI Grand Finals. However, one of the and most prominent name fan favorites Team SouL finished in a respectable fourth position. Through an Instagram story, Sid reflected on the team’s performance and offered valuable insight.

Sid began by acknowledging the slightly “disappointing” performance of Team SouL. It’s evident that the team had higher aspirations and came into the tournament with a determination to make their mark. While they may not have achieved the top spot, Sid stated that the performance was not “super bad.”

Sid noted that a lot of fans were telling him that the team should have at least tried to secure the runner-up spot. However, Sid stated that Team SouL doesn’t approach competitions with the aim of securing the second position, but winning it. “I don’t think there is any difference between #2 and #15 besides the prize money,” he added.

Sid acknowledged that Team SouL made a few mistakes in three to four games on the first day of the event. “We could have capitalized, we could have maybe even won this event if we had not performed badly in two to three games on the first day,” he added.

As Skyesports Championship 5.0 has come to a close, a new opportunity awaits for the team – Upthrust Esports Diwali Battle 2023. This tournament features a massive prize pool of INR 35,00,000, and will take place on 7th and 8th November in Koramangala Indoor Stadium, Bengaluru.
