Sk0r Out as IHC Is Shaken up

The team will have just one month to prepare for the BLAST.tv Paris Major with the new squad.

Mongolian CSGO team IHC has removed of one of its key players, Tengis “sk0R” Batjargal, less than a month before the upcoming BLAST.tv Paris Major. One year to the day after signing with the Mongolian side, IHC has confirmed sk0R’s resignation from the squad.

With the success the squad has had as of late, his departure is quite shocking. On top of that, IHC just reached their highest-ever ranking of 19 after a strong performance at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice, where they finished in the top 9 after beating FURIA in the play-in round and Cloud9 in the group stage. Furthermore, IHC also made it to the last round of qualification for the BLAST.tv Paris Major, where they were widely considered to be among the qualifier’s favorites. 

sk0R’s exit has left many wondering about the future of IHC’s roster. However, Nobody from the Mongolian team has revealed anything about the team’s future lineup. Bat-Enkh “⁠kabal⁠” Batbayar has been out of commission all year after having a baby early this year, with  Baatarkhuu “⁠Bart4k⁠” Batbold having stepped in to replace him.

After IHC’s recent impressive performance at IEM Katowice, the Mongolian team found themselves embroiled in controversy when their primary sponsor, the “Inflation Hedging Coin” (IHC) cryptocurrency, came under scrutiny. In February, news broke that the founders of IHC were arrested and charged with misappropriating funds and manipulating the market for their own gain, casting doubt on IHC’s association with cryptocurrency.

IHC Esports responded to the allegations a week later: the IHC Esports group issued a rebuttal statement in which they denied the charges “in the clearest possible terms” and claimed that the “particular people have no participation with our administration and operation.”
