Slovan Bratislava vs Ferencvaros Match Analysis and Prediction

Slovan Bratislava will welcome Ferencvaros to Tehelne Pole for the second leg of their Champions League second-qualifying-round fixture on Wednesday night.

Bratislava head into the second leg with a one-goal advantage as they recorded a 2-1 victory in the first leg last week, with Guram Kashia and Tigran Barseghyan getting on the scoresheet for the Slovakians, while Kristoffer Zachariassen netted for Ferencvaros.

Vladimir Weiss’s side are already two games into their domestic season, suffering a 2-1 defeat at Podbrezova in their opener on July 16, but they will enter this match off the back of a 4-0 victory over Tencin on Saturday, which has left them in fifth spot in the table on three points.

They will set aside the league this Tuesday as they aim at progressing to the playoff round of the qualification, and should be heading into the match with much confidence.

Meanwhile Ferencvaros impressed in the first round as they easily dispatched Tobol 5-1 on aggregate, but they are now at risk of getting eliminated after suffering the disappointing 2-1 defeat at home last week in the first leg of their second round tie.

However, Stanislav Cherchesov’s side has not been in action after the first leg, and should be well rested for the second leg but will need to be on top of their game.
