Nintendo has announced that spirits from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Splatoon 3, and Pikmin 4 are all set to join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. They will all go live on January 11, 2024 lasting for five days in total. Expect to see the likes of Rauru, Noah and Mio, Deep Cut, and more. Defeat these spirits to earn more gold than usual.

Nintendo announced last month that a new spirit event was on the way, which came as a bit of a surprise. No new content had been added to the same in quite some time. Sora was the last major additional as the final DLC fighter in October 2021.

amiibo tag tourneys are also planned. However, Nintendo has not provided information about timing just yet. In case you missed it, we have a post on that here.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate just celebrated its fifth anniversary having first debuted for Switch on December 7, 2018.
