Spooky Puzzles Await In Grandma: The Mobile Game, A Granny-like Horror Game

If you love thrillers and horror games, then I’ve got a new one for you to check out. Grandma: The Mobile Game is the mobile version of the indie game Grandma that launched on itch.io for PC in 2017. It’s priced at $1.99 and has been developed by solo developer Scott Castle under the banner Uneasy Game Studios.

Test Your Bravery!

Dive into the haunting realm as Grandma: The Mobile Game tests your bravery against the eerie silence of an ancient house filled with dread. Imagine being caught in the grip of your very own grandmother’s house. Spooky, right? The task at hand is to piece together puzzles while you encounter the unseen horrors.

In the game, you’ll step into the shoes of Maria, who races to the mysterious grandma’s house after a distressing call from her sister. Inside, you’ll find yourself in a ghostly sanctuary where everything’s under wraps. The only sound is the bone-chilling noise from an old recorder. The place seems abandoned, and your only source of light is your flashlight.

Various journal entries act as hints and help you solve the puzzles. The journal tells a bleak tale, from Grandma keeping Lily locked away to glimpses of strange marks on your sister’s back. Then there’s this teddy bear that keeps popping up in different places, a subtle hint that Lily might just be tagging along or nearby. Catch a glimpse of the game below!

Will You Try It Out?

Expect a different layout every time you play the game. You’ll encounter jump scares and a creepy soundtrack that comes with the game when you download it. As you scavenge through the shadowy rooms, you’ll get to know how stressed Lily was when your mother left both of you in the care of your unstable Grandma.

The presentation could have been better, and a dash more context or a beefier storyline would have been great, too.  Nonetheless, Grandma: The Mobile Game is worth giving a try. If you love fleeting glimpses of ghostly figures in the dark, then check the game out on itch.io.
