Star Ocean: The Second Story R Demo Out on PS5, PS4 Now

If the bevy of Star Ocean titles about to hit PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium aren’t enough for you, a newly published PS5, PS4 demo for upcoming remake Star Ocean: The Second Story R should be on your radar. Available to download now ahead of the game’s November launch, you’ll be able to sample three hours of the JRPG. While you wait, a lengthy gameplay trailer has also been uploaded by Square Enix for you to watch — viewable above.

The demo includes the beginning of the game up until you complete Krosse Cave. “Experience the field areas depicted in the new graphical style, the new systems incorporated into the combat, and more besides, the PS Store listing states. Your progress and character levels will carry over into the final game should you keep your save from the demo, which is out for PS5, PS4 on 2nd November 2023.
