The 2020 iPad Air is $149 off again, just in time for back-to-school season

Save $149.01: That back-to-school tablet doesn’t have to break the bank. You can grab the 2020 iPad Air (64GB)(opens in a new tab) for just $399.99 at Best Buy. This 27% markdown will only last through the end of July 21.

Just because Prime Day is over doesn’t mean you missed your chance on some serious back-to-school savings.

Through the end of July 21 (that’s today), you can grab the 2020 iPad Air with 64GB(opens in a new tab) of storage for just $399.99 — $149.01 off — at Best Buy. The only time we’ve seen a lower price was earlier this month, when Walmart had it for $379. But this is still a really good deal.

You might notice that Best Buy has this tablet’s MSRP at $599, which was the true list price of this iPad not too long ago. The new iPad Air that arrived earlier this year, however, now holds that $599 MSRP spot. The 2020 iPad Air typically hovers(opens in a new tab) at $549 if it’s not on sale.

All of this is to say, saving $150 still isn’t bad, especially when you consider what you’re getting. The iPad Air has a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, which means you have a clear screen with plenty of space for taking notes. Speaking of note-taking, this iPad is compatible with the second-generation Apple Pencil(opens in a new tab), which attaches right to the tablet magnetically and charges up when it’s docked.

Since life isn’t all work and no play, it is nice that the tablet’s A14 Bionic chip can handle streaming, some gaming, and even some video editing. And you get 10 hours of battery life.

Plus, with its five different colors this iPad lets you show some personality — and all five colors are on sale. Just act fast if you’re interested, as these savings will be gone from Best Buy(opens in a new tab) by the end of the day.
