The Best New Android Games This Week

If you haven’t been keeping up with the best new Android games this week, don’t worry. We’ve searched high and low for the most recent additions in the Android game world. This week’s been an exciting one for brand-new games. Down below is where you’ll find our handpicked choices from this week – hopefully you’ll like them as much as we do!

Each week we’ll report on the new games and shine a light on those that you may have missed out on. The best new mobile games this week are Ninja Must Die, Immortality, Kentucky Route Zero, Twelve Minutes, and Vampire Survivors.

Ninja Must Die

Ninja Must Die is a combat runner that brings a distinct, toony ink-brush style of art direction to the table.

It’s set in a Japan-inspired world, called Sunbreak which is in a bit of trouble. The Samurai and Ninjas are feuding, and the monstrous Oni are set to return for war after being sealed for centuries.

You will get the chance to choose between four different ninjas. There’s firebrand Kuro, ice queen Rin, shocking Riki, and stormy Souga. Gameplay will take you on an epic trip across painterly landscapes, and you’ll encounter demons, dragons, and giant birds on the way.

You can catch Ninja Must Die on Google Play from today.

Immortality

Unlike any game you’ve played before, the mystery game Immortality comes from the mind of Sam Barlow, developer of Her Story.

Actress Marissa Marcel should have been a star. She acted in three films, but none ever saw a public audience. Then, she mysteriously disappeared. The unseen films might hold the secret to her fate.

To find out what happened to Marissa, you’ll need to take a trip through the clips of the lost movies, navigating from scene to scene and matching images together to get further, and deeper into the strange events that surrounded the filming.

If you’ve got Netflix, you can pick up Immortality for free from Google Play.

Kentucky Route Zero

Kentucky Route Zero is an adventure game that will take you on a trip, in both senses of the world.

You take the role of Conway, a trucker on a job for an antique dealing firm. You get an order to deliver to a certain address. The way there isn’t easy though, you’re required to take a route that isn’t easy to find, and probably should not exist.

It’s a tough trip to find the entrance to the mysterious, underground Route Zero, and once you get to it, it only gets stranger from there.

Netflix subscribers can pick it up for free on Google Play.

Twelve Minutes

Twelve Minutes is a top-down thriller game about being stuck in pretty terrible situation.

A police detective breaks into your apartment, cuffs your wife, accuses you of murder and then beats you to death. What could be worse than that? Doing it again, and again, and again.

The game has you trapped in an eternal time-loop. Events will progress the same way every time, but you can change how you handle it, and learn from your mistakes. You have all the time in the world, whether you want it or not.

If you’re a Netflix subscriber, you can snag Twelve Minutes for free on Google Play.

Vampire Survivors

Vampire Survivors is a truly compulsive game. It is a game that is ridiculously simple to learn, whilst its gameplay appears as nightmarish chaos as thousands of enemies descend upon you from ever possible angle.

The story is simple. Hell is open, ghoulies, ghosties and long-legged beasties are rampaging about. You are going to have to fight them. Fortunately, that is simple too. Weapons deploy automatically, all you need to do is maneuver around the enemies.

Of course, the problem is, there are a lot of enemies. No vampires though, weirdly.

A free version of Vampire Survivors, with fairly unintrusive ads, can be downloaded from Google Play.

So, that’s our handpicked top 5 best new Android games this week. Think we’re on the right track? For our favourite, we’re tied between Kentucky Route Zero and Vampire Survivors. The best probably depends how much you want to think about what you’re playing.
