The best Prime Day travel deals for voyagers on a budget

UPDATE: Jul. 11, 2022, 7:03 p.m. EDT This story has been updated with the latest deals and pricing on travel gear.

Taking a trip this summer? Check out the best Prime Day travel deals:

Welcome to another summer of revenge travel.

Experts originally coined the term to describe the post-lockdown rush to book leisurely vacations. (Making up for lost time, as it were.) But lately it feels like “revenge travel” could apply to the way we’re being punished by high gas, hotel, and airfare prices after staying home for so long.

Either way, it’s a good thing Amazon‘s Prime Day sale includes some hefty discounts on travel gear.

We’ll be combing through the site regularly over the next 48 hours to find the most “worth-it” prices on luggage, noise-canceling headphones, portable chargers, and other items that come in handy on a trip. A few things to keep in mind before you start adding things to your cart:

  • We’re not seeing any amazing deals on travel adapters, neck pillows, or GoPros yet, so you won’t find any on our list below. Fingers crossed that those will start popping up as Prime Day progresses. (It’s scheduled to run through Wednesday, July 13.)

  • All newly added deals are marked with a ✨, while deals with a strikeout were either sold out or no longer available at their sale price when we last looked. Anything marked with a 🔥 has dropped to an all-time low price.

Get set, jetsetters:

the Philips PH805 headphones

Why we like them

Rated above average(opens in a new tab) for their sound quality, comfortable fit, and noise-cancelling capabilities, these entry-level Philips headphones offer 30 hours of playback per charge — that’s about 10 hours more than Apple’s $549 AirPods Max.

Amazon has them on sale this Prime Day for $99.98 (normally $169), which is a 41% savings and only $11 away from their all-time low price(opens in a new tab) from last spring.

the Belkin Boost Charge Power Bank 20K

Why we like it

This beefy portable charger from Belkin packs 20,000mAh of juice, which translates to about 140 hours of battery life for a smartphone and up to 38 hours of use for a tablet. It has two USB output ports, so you can charge a couple devices simultaneously.

It typically retails for $49.99 on the Belkin website(opens in a new tab), but Amazon will give it to you for $39.99 (or 20% off) — a return to last fall’s record-low price(opens in a new tab).

Why we like it

Featuring an expansion gusset, a clamshell-style main compartment, and multiple organizing pockets, this sleek hardside spinner from Traveler’s Choice is a spot-on dupe for the Away Carry-On Flex(opens in a new tab), which retails for $325. (The only thing it’s really missing is a TSA lock.)

Prime Day has brought it down to only $100.49, which is 23% off its $129.99 MSRP and its lowest price to date.
