Last night sure was an exciting on for fans of fighting game esports. As the Capcom Pro Tour and mystery counter wound down, the developer announced Street Fighter 6 — which looks awesome. So awesome, in fact, that the short teaser has nearly eclipsed the other announcement. However, it shouldn’t be overlooked, especially if you love classic fighting games. The Capcom Fighting Collection brings together 10 fan-favorite fighters, all on PC with modern upgrades like online play and rollback netcode.
As mentioned, the anthology includes 10 games — two of which have never released in North America. It’s an impressive list, even if it doesn’t include Power Stone. C’mon, Capcom, please at least acknowledge it ever existed. It’s a meaty blend that includes several Darkstalker games, along with rare gems like Red Earth and Cyberbots: Fullmetal Madness.
