The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom Brings Eldritch Magic and Mystery to PS5, PS4 This Month

If you’re still playing The Elder Scrolls Online, good news — a major new update is just around the corner. Necrom is a new expansion that hits the game on 20th June, meaning it’s just over a week away.

The headline addition in this update is the Arcanist, which is an all-new class that’s all about wielding dark magical forces. You can see it in action in the above trailer, as well as a new location. You’ll be able to explore the Telvanni Peninsula, home to giant mushrooms and, of course, the titular city, Necrom.

There’s a new story to unravel too, and it also focuses on the arcane. While we don’t know too much, it seems there are eldritch forces looming, giving rise to monstrous new foes, and it all appears to stem from old, forbidden books. If you ever come across an ancient-looking tome in the back corner of a library, maybe don’t read it, yeah?
