We’ve long lost count of the Artifex Mundi Hidden Object games available on Xbox, but we always relish the opportunity to take in new tales. That’s the case with the launch of The Myth Seekers: The Legacy of Vulkan on Xbox.

Previously available on PC (in fact, this first released there back in 2017), The Myth Seekers: The Legacy of Vulkan comes to Xbox to continue Artifex Mundi’s mission of taking charge of the Hidden Object genre.

Running a price of £12.49 from the Xbox Store, with a free trial available should you wish to dip your toe in, The Myth Seekers: The Legacy of Vulkan should well run similar lines to previous Artifex games. And that, to us, is not a bad thing at all.

The Myth Seekers: The Legacy of Vulkan on Xbox focuses its narrative and tale on Amelia; an expert in Roman mythology. She’s recently rocked up at the Myth Seekers agency, given an assignment that seems a little dodgy at best. Frankly, that’s standard stuff for these kind of games.

What plays out from there is dictated by your action. Hidden Object games, by their very nature, are puzzling affairs, and it’ll be up to you to search for the clues you need to hit Amelia prove herself to her superiors. With the destruction of Pompeii at hand, and various enemies to get one over, it promises to be a hell of an adventure.

You play as Amelia, a brilliant expert on Roman mythology and a new asset of the Myth Seekers agency. Your assignment is to continue the investigation of a fellow operative who recently vanished under mysterious circumstances. The first order of business is to locate the Vesuvian Codex and get in touch with an Italian agent named Lorenzo. Together you will need to track down the powerful artifact called Vulcan’s Hammer. Time is of the essence as evil forces are also looking for the relic. During this stunning adventure you will travel across Italy, solving countless puzzles and looking for clues in hidden object scenes. Learn the truth behind the destruction of Pompeii and face off against the enemies of the Agency as you race to prevent another catastrophe!
