Doing some digging in the aftermath of Prime Day is kind of genius. There are plenty of items still at record-low pricing, including (literally) huge steals like this 86-inch NanoCell TV from LG.
This TV is a beast for more reasons than size alone. LG’s NanoCell technology places an extra light filter of nanoparticles in front of the LCD panel, amping up color depth and correcting the hue distortion that often happens on TVs without such a filter.
Unlike the cheaper NanoCell 80 series, the NanoCell 90 employs direct backlighting and full-array local dimming, which helps with contrast in particular. Those dark scenes in Stranger Things are much more legible with the TV’s ability to dim the backlight, which is employs when it senses a shadowy image onscreen.
