It’s been a few years since Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince and Trine: Ultimate Collection arrived on the scene. But now comes the announcement of the next game in the series – Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy. 

Announced by THQ Nordic and Frozenbyte, Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy will allow players the chance to head off on all-new adventures when it releases on PC and console – those consoles being Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. 

It will give us a chance to join a wizard, a thief and a knight – Amadeus, Zoya and Pontius – as they take on their most action-packed, most exciting journey yet. And it goes without saying that Trine 5 promises to be the best Trine game yet, with puzzles that will react to your play, changing up and down in difficulty as quantity of players begin to make a mark. 

With a skill quest system in hand, new tactical multi-phase boss fights promised, Trine 5: A Clockwork Conspiracy will work as a 2.5D puzzle platformer, set in a fantastical fairytale world. You’ll find no less than twenty stages to enjoy, all beautifully designed as you take in glistening gemstone caverns to perilous underwater passageways. Just ensure you are constantly aware that the three Heroes are pitted against dastardly and duplicitous villains, who will stop at nothing to seize control of the kingdom.

It’s here where playing with friends will come in, with up to three friends taking control across online and local co-op, as the Heroes of Trine must reunite to push back a fearsome Clockwork army and bring peace and justice to the land.
