Turbo Golf Racing Is a Rocket League-Style Arcade Sports Hybrid Hitting PS5 in 2024

We weren’t expecting Turbo Golf Racing to wind up on PS5, but we’re happy it’s coming. Yes, the arcade sports title, which has you racing in a car to sink your giant golf ball as fast as possible, has been announced for Sony’s system, and it’s coming in Q2 of this year (April to June).

Turbo Golf Racing was initially released as an early access title on PC and Xbox, which is what the above trailer pertains to. Now, developer Hugecalf Studios is approaching the full, 1.0 release of the game, and PS5 will be one of the launch platforms.

Up to eight online players have a golf ball each, and the aim is to beat everyone else to the hole at the end of the course in a sort of golf/racing hybrid. The courses are littered with boost rings that can launch your ball forward, as well as other power-ups you can use to hinder your opponents.

As well as the main eight-player mode, there will also be a 1v1 mode which is more like proper golf — the fewest shots wins, rather than the first to the hole. Additionally, you can customise your car with not only cosmetics but also modifiers that can prioritise shot strength, applying spin, and so on.

It looks like a lot of fun, and is definitely within the same ballpark as Rocket League, so we imagine it’ll do reasonably well when it launches. Are you interested in Turbo Golf Racing? Let us know in the comments section below.
