Twisted Metal’s TV Show Has Way More Easter Eggs Than You Think

We’re pretty big Twisted Metal fans and thought we’d picked up on all the Easter eggs in Peacock’s recent television adaptation – but it turns out we didn’t even spot half of them. This incredible, 20 minute YouTube video digs deep – and we mean really deep – uncovering some references we hadn’t even considered possible. Like, the reverence for the source material is absolutely insane here, and has made us appreciate the show even more.

For example, did you notice how John Doe inputs one of the original release’s famous cheat codes? We didn’t! Or how about the copious references to maps and locations from the games? Some of these references are so minuscule that they didn’t even register on our radar during first viewing, but it’s clear that the team who worked on the show absolutely loves the games. It’s really quite incredible how well this series turned out.

We should stress if you haven’t seen the show yet but intend to watch it at some point, perhaps give this video a miss – it’s absolutely filled with spoilers. If you’ve finished it and are curious about its many Easter eggs, though, this is a really eye-opening video – we bet there’ll be some references you missed included here.
