Right, let’s talk Hollows.

What Is A Menoscar?

A Menoscar is the lowest rank of Arrancar, Hollows who have pulled off their masks and taken humanoid forms. A Menoscar is recognizable by its mask. Most Arrcancar’s masks vary pretty widely, but Menoscars always have a mask with the distinctive long a pointy nose of a Gillian Menos.

How Do You Become A Menoscar?

To become a Menoscar you first need to select the Hollow upgrade path on creating a character. You’ll spawn in as a Fishbone Hollow in Hueco Mundo. To advance, you need to eat other Hollows. You can kill them yourself, or scavenge off bodies you find lying around. The tall Menos enemies are the most valuable.

Eat enough Fishbone Hollows, or one Menos, to evolve into a Menos yourself. You’ll become a very tall Hollow with a pointy nose. Once you’re this, hit CTRL+K to rip off your mask. Congratulations, you’ve become a Menoscar!

Should You Become A Menoscar?

Menoscar is the easiest kind of Arrancar to become, but there’s a big downside to this. They’re also the weakest Arrancar in terms of their stats. For this reason, we’d suggest at least continuing to fight other Menos until you evolve into an Adjuchas. This took less than ten minutes at the current balance, with my test Hollow.

After Adjuchas, progress gets trickier, but tapping out there will make you an Adjucar, and a stronger force.

Of course, maybe you just really want a long pointy snowman nose, in which case Menoscar will give you what you require. We won’t judge.
