Valorant Last Chance Qualifiers 2022: Where to Watch & Who’s Playing

The VCT 2022 Tour is beginning to reach its conclusion. The second and final Masters tournament ended with OpTic Gaming taking the first place spot to go to Champions in Istanbul later this year. Next for North America, though, is the Valorant Last Chance Qualifiers 2022. This will be the final tournament before Champions and decide what team from the lower bracket will take the third and last NA slot in the championships along with XSet and OpTic.

The Teams

The Guard

The Guard was founded by Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, who hosts Overwatch and Call of Duty teams as well. The team is based in Los Angeles. Although VCT 2022 is their first ever Champions Tour, they’ve managed to score a close third in the rankings and are poised to fend off their challengers.

FaZe Clan

A professional esports organization for over a decade, with VALORANT players from all over North America. Despite their experience, they have yet to champion a tournament higher than Challengers 2021.

NRG

Another California-based team with their headquarters at the Hot Pockets Castle in downtown Los Angeles. This will be their second VCT tour.

Shopify Rebellion

The team formerly known as Luminosity Gaming is competing for the first time this year under their new name, Shopify Rebellion. They have been in Valorant since 2020, and were the champions of Nerd Street Gamer’s Winter Championships in 2021.

Cloud9

Cloud9 was founded in Korea, but is fielding an American team. They won the last LCQ tournament, and went on to Champions where they tied for 5-8 place.

100 Thieves

100 Thieves started their VALORANT career by earning first place in the First Strike tournament in 2020. Since then, they have had a long history with VCT. Last year, they reached Stage Three Masters in Berlin before losing to Team Envy.

Evil Geniuses

Evil Geniuses is a Canadian-founded team that has been around since 1999. They joined the VALORANT scene in 2021, but have had a rocky series of tournaments since then. This is their first go at VCT.

Sentinels

Ranked as the third best team in North America and the champions of both 2021 Masters tournaments. The Sentinels have still had a rough tour this season, though, and are placed at tenth in the VCT 2022 rankings.
