What We Played #545 – LEGO Star Wars, Crusader Kings 3 & Midnight Ghost Hunt

It’s that time of the week where we think about what we’ve played. In my case, it really is just thinking as I’ve been moving house and mostly unpacking and reconnecting and setting up every single electronic device in the house. I did manage to play some LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga before packing up the PS5, but I’ve not had any time to play on them since moving. I even have a fancy new TV, but I’ve barely watched it!

I still have a few electonric outliers left to go too, like the PS3 and the Wii U. Do I really need them out? Probably not, but then I feel bad thinking about them being stuck in a cupboard… That’s weird isn’t it?

Miguel is less weird (probably) and was first in line to tell me that he’s been playing lots more of “that dang ol’ Elden Ring”. He also messed around with Phantom Breaker: Omnia for a review, Rune Factory 5, Chrono Cross: Radical Dreamers Edition and a smidge of Fortnite and Apex Legends. Oh, he’s also foolishly got back into Genshin Impact.

Jason has been playing a lot of VR stuff. Nock is archery Rocket League, which is apparently “great”. He also tells us that “Demeo (which came out on normal PC this week) is an awesome take on tabletop gaming with some lovely roguelike elements. Population: One is kind of like Fortnite in VR. All good fun though, and a nice change of pace.”

Aran is literally one mini-boss fight away from taking on Radahn in Elden Ring. As my copy is still in its wrapper I have no idea what that means. Lost Judgment is also being played and it is “a bit slow going at the moment but looking forward to exploring it properly when I have time”. He’s also been playing Crusader Kings 3. He says, “I am not good at Crusader Kings 3 having lost a lot of wars. Also in one run my spymaster kept discovering people in my court were cannibals. What a world!”

Gareth platinumed Horizon, which was “very good, but not as good storywise as the first. I also played the opening to the free part of Destiny 2.”

Meanwhile, Ade got bored of Horizon Forbidden West, so decided to play Devil May Cry 5 instead – it’s “much more fun!”

Nick P has been playing more Elden Ring because despite getting the platinum and sinking over 130 hours into it, he’s still horribly addicted. On the side, he got another platinum on a small indie game called Chicken Police, saying “it was OK”, started Weird West which he’s really enjoying, and played Midnight Ghost Hunt for preview which you can read about soon.

Finally we have Tef, who joined Nick for a handful of rounds of Midnight Ghost Hunt, dropped back into Halo Infinite for the first time in a couple months (and immediately won a round for FFA Slayer), streamed the opening of LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, snuck in a preview of Two Point Campus and spent a little bit too much time racing around in Gran Turismo 7. Now that the race rewards have been improved, expect him to spend a fair bit more this coming week as well!

What about you? Have you played anything this week?
