When is Breeze Coming Back to Valorant?

After its removal from the competitive rotation in Patch 6.0, fans are wondering when Breeze will make its return to Valorant.

Episode 6 introduced a new map, Lotus, to the game. With three bomb sites, rotating doors and a destructible wall, Lotus is the new playground Valorant players have been grinding. Split also made its return with layout changes to give attackers more options.

Riot Games typically keeps seven maps in rotation; Breeze and Bind were removed to make space for Lotus and Split.

As of now, there is no confirmed date for Breeze’s return to the competitive rotation. If Split is any indication, it will likely be months before Breeze comes back to Valorant.

Since its release in 2021, Breeze has received minimal changes. Riot Games is taking this opportunity to improve the overall quality of the map.

Designer Joe Lansford stated, “[Breeze] has some room to improve in terms of Agents and team comp diversity.” He adds that he and the other developers are looking into “some opportunities for simplification of the space.”

As players wait for Breeze to return, they can continue climbing the ranked ladder and unlocking cosmetics in the new battle pass for Episode 6 Act 1.
