Star Ocean The Second Story R has a lot of different specialties and IC abilities that you can use to bolster your time in the game. One of these is replication, which you need an item to use. How to find a Magic Camera or RIRICA for replication in Star Ocean The Second Story R

To be able to use replication in Star Ocean The Second Story R, you’re going to need one of these two items. The first one we’ll talk about is RIRICA, as you can technically get it before the Magic Camera. The RIRICA is something you can get via IC abilities, the Machinist IC ability, to be precise. If you use the option to create a Support Item, you can find the RIRICA at the bottom, with a suitable level of eight. This means you’ll need to grind the Machinist skills early to get this before the Magic Camera, but it can probably be done. I’m personally at Linga in the story of Star Ocean The Second Story R and I still haven’t got the replication level needed for this, but I’ve been putting my points elsewhere for customization, mostly.

If you can’t get the RIRICA, your best bet to get started with replication is the Magic Camera. From my knowledge, the earliest part of the game you can get the Magic Camera is as soon as you reach the second continent. This is because you’ll need to head to Linga to get the Magic Camera from the Campus Store “The Academy Co-op” in town. Once you get there in Star Ocean The Second Story R, select the buy option and scroll to the bottom, as that’s where you’ll find the Magic Camera option.

What uses does replication have?

Replication is a tool that you can use to your advantage when it comes to making copies of items. This includes things that you can sell for a decent amount of money, or even things to use in battle. One of the first things I did with replication in Star Ocean The Second Story R was use it to duplicate Resurrection Elixirs, meaning I had a massive amount of them to use in battle if I ever needed them.
