Wild Rift New Champions Leaked

It definitely took Riot a while to release Pyke and Nautilus for Wild Rift. But with the two of them hitting the rift, and no other official news for champions, players may be wondering what other champions are to debut. Thanks to Chowz, the community has a decent hint to the Wild Rift New Champions. But keep in mind, these are leaks and guesses, not official announcements. Therefore, take the news with a grain of salt.

All Three New Champions

That one Twitter post honestly had a lot of new information. But there’s little to no evidence backing the claims. Anyway, the three new champions are speculated to be Kassadin, Samira, and Sion. Kassadin is noted to release in June 28 in the China PBE. Chowz is pretty connected in the Chinese WR leak and data mining scene, so that date is very likely to be true. And if there’s a PBE (which stands for Public Beta Environment, it’s very much only in the testing phases. This makes predicting an official release date alongside announcement a little difficult. But it does practically confirm the champion’s inevitable release.

Samira and Sion join the Chinese Server PBE on October 5. This is quite a long time away, but it makes relative sense considering the previous champion release timings. Wild Rift slowed down their champion releases substantially this year. The developers instead seem to be prioritizing the game’s quality of life, alongside competitive side.

For example, WR Pyke and Nautilus released quite late because of Icons. New champions become available in the competitive scene two weeks after release. And they purposely delayed the champion release, as not to interfere with Icons. The two champions would have drastically shifted the competitive meta, especially for the support role.

In conclusion

Once again, take this information with a grain of salt. These are leaks, data mines, and claims based on the WR Chinese PBE. Chowz has honestly been a great source for unofficial infomration for the game, but it’s still not a completely infallible announcement. But anyway, expect Kassadin, Samira, and Sion to release in Wild Rift some time this year.
