World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic is Out on September 26

Blizzard Entertainment announced World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic earlier this year, and given the expansion’s legacy as probably the best content the long-running MMORPG has ever received, it’s no surprise that quite a few people are looking forward to diving back into its offerings with its classic launch.

At the time of announcement, Blizzard said that Wrath of the Lich King Classic would be out sometime in 2022, while recently, an update made to the game’s official website accidentally leaked a September launch. That has now been officially confirmed. Blizzard has announced that World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic will be out for PC on September 26. Beta opt-ins are now live, and the full version of the expansion will go live on launch day at 3 PM PDT globally.

The expansion will feature updated raids, achievements, a new profession in Inscription, and more. In anticipation of the upcoming launch, players in Burning Crusade Classic will get a buff that increases all experience gains by 50%. The buff can be toggled on and off, and will only be available until Wrath of the Lich King Classic launches.
