Wrath of the Lich King Classic Release Date Possibly Revealed

Wrath of the Lich King Classic appears to have been given a release date, after Blizzard updated the official website.

According to a report from Wowhead.com, Blizzard updated the release date for World of Warcraft Classic explansion Wrath of the Lich King. The updated release date was listed as Sept. 26, 2022. However, since the story was published, the release date has been removed.

It’s possible that the release date was a mistake, and that the official release date will not actually fall on this date. Alternatively, it’s also possible that the Sept. 26 date was announced prematurely.

Originally releasing back in 2008, Wrath of the Lich King was WoW’s second expansion following Burning Crusade, selling 2.8 million copies within the first day. It has historically been one of WoW’s most popular expansions. Fans of WoW Classic will see the return of the expansion’s dungeons and raids, explore Northrend, and welcome back the Death Knight Hero Class.

Blizzard have since reverted their official website back to its previous state, where the release date for Wrath of the Lich King Classic is simply listed as launching in 2022. Given that 2022 is over half way through, it’s likely that Blizzard will announce the expanisions release date soon.
