Xenoblade Chronicles as a series has always had quite a disparity between its ambitions and scope and how much budget it gets afforded. The latter is usually evidenced in things such as polish and quality-of-life features- though the upcoming Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is looking like the biggest and most packed game in the series, which means it’s coming with a number of features and tweaks that its predecessors didn’t have.
For instance, recently, Nintendo took to Twitter via its official UK page and confirmed that Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will feature voiceovers for both Japanese and English in the package right off the bat, which means neither of the two will require any additional downloads. Nintendo also showed a short clip of a cutscene seamlessly alternating between English and Japanese voices to illustrate the point. As previously reported, the game features full lip sync for both languages as well, which is also a first for the series. Check out the clip below.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is due out on July 29 for Nintendo Switch.
