Year 3 ALGS Split 2 Playoffs: Teams, Schedule, How to Watch, and More

The ALGS Split 2 Playoffs are a few weeks out, and Respawn Entertainment has released some details on the upcoming event. Let’s break it all down.

The ALGS Split 2 Playoffs kick off July 13, starting at 10 AM BST, and will run through July 16. The Playoffs will once again take place at London’s Copper Box Arena.

A host of Apex Legends streamers, pros, and commentators are joining the fun, including TSM Sabz_Bear, Spidertiff, and Onset. You can check out the Playoffs via the official ALGS Twitch, YouTube, or Steam channels or watch the official English Watch Party stream hosted by NiceWigg and Greek. 

There will be several additional Watch Parties hosted by Pokizgames, Oraxe & Wisethug, and Restiafps. These Watch Parties will be in Portuguese, French, and Chinese, respectively.

The ALGS Split 2 Playoffs will have six Official Broadcast Partners: CyberZ, WooHoo, Friends Project Co, Myriad Stars, Titan Masters, and Basik Marketing/ The Esports Club. They will cast all matches in Japanese, Portuguese, Thai, Mandarin, Spanish, and Hindi.

Competitive Format

Forty teams, three stages. The Group Stage will take place on July 13 and 14, with each team facing off against every other team in their group in six-match series. On July 15, the Bracket Stage will begin. The 40 qualifying teams will be placed in a double-elimination bracket, with seeds determined based on their Group Stage performances. 20 teams will be eliminated.

Finally, July 16 kicks off the Match Point Finals until one team emerges as the Split 2 Playoff Champions.

The 40 qualifying teams will compete for their share of a $1 million dollar prize pool and Playoff Points as we inch closer to the ALGS Year 3 Championship. 

On-Site Events

Fans planning on watching the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs in person can expect a lot of additional activities to keep them busy. Western Digital will have their WD_Black gaming bus parked outside the venue, where fans can play some Apex Legends themselves. The Monster truck won’t be far behind for attendees who want free energy drinks. 

In between matches, fans have a chance to meet some of the pros. Some teams, like TSM, Alliance, Luminosity, and DarkZero, will have official ALGS Team Booths. There will be limited-edition merchandise available and, of course, giveaways.

Tickets for the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs are on sale now on Eventbrite. Fans can purchase 1-Day General Admission passes for any of the four days or 4-Day General Admission passes. Prices start at £20.00.
