Coming out very soon, the YuGiOh Master Duel New Event forces players to utilize only one copy of each card in their deck. Similar to the fusion event, this is sure to be a very fun game mode. By allowing players to experiment with their decks in a brand new way, the new event brings in a breath of fresh air. Here are some of the specific rulings when it comes to the game mode.
Ruling
The most obvious aspect is that players can only have one of each card in their deck. In other words, no repeat cards. But outside of that, there are even more cards that have been simply banned from the game mode. This thereby allows more creativity for the game.

The picture above shows the banned cards. But why are these specifically banned? Well, that’s easy to answer, but it’s definitely a bit of a case by case basis. These all function in very strong builds, allowing some oppressively strong combos. Take for example Fusion Destiny. That card allows DPE to come immediately out to the field. And considering that the combo only really requires one of each fusion material alongside the fusion card itself, the ban makes a whole of sense.
In Conclusion
These cards are banned in the Yugioh Master Duel New event for a reason: they would absolutely dominate the meta. And honestly, having these unique gameplay requirements for deck building makes the game incredibly fun. Master Duel definitely gets boring at times, with the amount of overpowered meta moves and the reliance of the extra deck summons. Having only one of each card is sure to minimize the combo potential of the previously dominate builds in the meta.
