PlayStation Days Of Play Sale 2020: PS4 Games, PS Plus, And More Great Deals

PlayStation's Days of Play sale, an annual event that normally runs during E3, has returned this week with deals on PS4 exclusives and more. Unlike recent years, however, Days of Play doesn't feature PS4 consoles or PSVR hardware, which feels a tad strange considering the PS5 arrives later this year. That said, Days of Play is still offering great discounts on exclusive games, including MLB The Show 20, Nioh 2, Dreams, and more. Days of Play is live now until June 17, and major retailers are joining in on the

June 2020 PlayStation Plus Games: Two Free PS4 Shooters Available This Month

Breaking from longstanding tradition, the next round of PlayStation Plus freebies began before the new month even arrived. PS4 users can currently claim June's free games, Call of Duty: WWII and Star Wars Battlefront II. This is one of the strongest free games lineups we've seen this year. Developed by Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: WWII released in 2017 and brought the series back to its original World War II-era setting for the first time since World at War in 2008. Call of Duty: WWII is particularly known for having

PlayStation Ordered To Pay $3.5 Million Fine For Misleading Customers In Australia

Sony Europe--of which Sony Australia is a branch--has today faced charges from the Australian Competition And Consumer Commission (ACCC) for misleading customers about their consumer rights. The Federal Court of Australia has hit Sony with $3.5 million in penalty charges "making false and misleading representations on its website and in dealings with Australian consumers about their Australian Consumer Law (ACL) rights." The court found that Sony Europe had misled four customers after they purchased games described as "faulty" through the PlayStation Network. Sony informed customers that they were not entitled

Cobra Kai Season 3 Won’t Debut On YouTube – Report

Cobra Kai is easily the best show on YouTube Premium. In fact, its second season was one of the best shows of 2019, in our estimation. But Season 3 of YouTube Premium's Cobra Kai has yet to premiere, and now the show has run into a new obstacle. According to a new report, when the next chapter in the Karate Kid sequel series is finally released, it will likely be on a different streaming service. Deadline is reporting that Sony TV has shopped the already-completed third season around. That came

While there are now a plethora of streaming services to choose from, with HBO Max being the latest, Amazon Prime Video is still kicking around. This June, there are plenty of new movies, TV shows, and a few originals headed your way, and most of the content lands on the service the first of the month. Amazon doesn't like to make you wait, and on June 1, you'll have a fine selection of movies and TV shows to check out, including the classic 1996 comedy Kingpin. The film stars Woody

Fortnite Season 3 Start Date: Latest Delay Bumps It Back Again

All good things end... eventually. Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 2 was originally scheduled to conclude on April 30, but a few weeks prior, developer Epic Games announced an extension. Season 2 was then set to conclude on June 4, and then June 11. In light of the ongoing protests in the US related to the murder of George Floyd, Epic has announced plans to push things back once again. Season 3 will now begin on June 17, and the major event preceding it has also been pushed as a

Activision Blizzard Defends Bobby Kotick’s Salary As Shareholder Calls For Changes To His Pay

Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick is one of the highest-paid executives not only in video games, but across the entire entertainment media industry. He made more than $30 million in 2019. One of the company's shareholders, The CtW Investment Group, is now calling on other stakeholders to vote against a measure that gives the company freedom to pay Kotick high rates. [Update: Activision Blizzard has responded with a statement, which you can see below] In a filing with the United States government, The CtW Investment Groups' director Dieter Waizenegger called

‘Slay the Spire’ Finally Launching on iOS this Month, Will Cost $9.99 and Be the Same as the PC Version

There are certain games that built up a following on other platforms that just scream for a mobile port. Their set of mechanics, their interface, and the way they are controlled would just work perfectly on the touchscreen, and the actual game sessions can also be quick bursts or long marathons which also fit right into how mobile games are played. Over the past couple of years I can’t think of a game that fits this mold better than Slay the Spire from developer MegaCrit, and boy howdy have fans

Will Chris Evans Play Captain America Again? The Actor Weighs In

Chris Evans, who played Steve Rogers (aka Captain America) in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for nearly a decade, recently passed on his shield at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Now, over a year later, Chris Evans has reflected on wrapping up his iconic role--and it doesn't sound like he's keen to return to it anytime soon. On the May 29 episode of The Graham Norton Show--as reported by Digital Spy--Evans said that because he "went out on such a high note" with the character, he's unlikely to play him again.

After Xbox’s Double Fine Acquisition, Gang Beasts Will Now Self-Publish

Developer Boneloaf has announced that it will independently publish Gang Beasts going forward. The game's previous publisher, Double Fine Presents, has been winding down since Double Fine's acquisition by Microsoft in June 2019. "We love Double Fine and they have been really fantastic to us," Boneloaf wrote in a blog post. "What Tim and his company built is pretty wonderful, but with Double Fine Presents winding down due to Double Fine's acquisition by Xbox Game Studios last year, we think it is a good time for Boneloaf to stand on
