PlayStation 5 Allegedly Sold Over Twice As Many Units as Xbox Series X In Q1 2021

A new report suggests that, just as it did a generation before, PlayStation is running circles around Xbox shortly after a console launch. Specifically, the PlayStation 5 has allegedly sold over twice as many units as the Xbox Series X/S consoles. This would seem to be a bad sign for Xbox, but given the emptiness of store shelves, we shouldn’t be too hasty to declare anyone the winner of the console race just yet. Valve confirms The International 10 will be held in August with $40 million prize pool

In addition to announcing a new way for fans to support teams competing in the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit, Valve has confirmed that The International will return on Aug. 5 in Stockholm, Sweden. TI10 will pick up right where the 2021 DPC season concludes, bringing in the top teams from around the world to compete for the Aegis of Champions and the record-setting $40,018,195 prize pool. For now, Valve has confirmed that the group stage will be held from Aug. 5 to 8, with the main event running from Aug.

Electronic Arts selects Grass Valley for remote esports production

Electronic Arts Competitive Gaming Entertainment (CGE), EA’s esports division, has announced that it will use remote production tools by Montreal-based media provider Grass Valley to power its EA Sports FIFA 21 and Apex Legends online competitions. Grass Valley Agile Media Processing Platform (GV AMPP) will allow EA to coordinate production teams remotely for the two titles across the world.
