TouchArcade Game of the Week: ‘You’re Fired! Job Simulator!’

The idea behind the TouchArcade Game of the Week is that every Friday afternoon we post the one game that came out this week that we think is worth giving a special nod to. Now, before anyone goes over-thinking this, it doesn’t necessarily mean our Game of the Week pick is the highest scoring game in a review, the game with the best graphics, or really any other quantifiable “best" thing. Instead, it’s more just us picking out the single game out of the week’s releases that we think is

Persona 5 Royal developer Atlus is continuing to drum up excitement for its March 31 release. A new trailer focused on the Phantom Thieves and new heroine, Kasumi Yoshizawa, has been released.Yoshizawa is a brand new playable character in Persona 5 Royal, and from and from Michael Higham's hands-on at a preview event, she is "a new student at your school, Shujin Academy, and is pretty well known for her talents as a gymnast."According to a short scene Higham played, "It's apparent she takes a liking to Joker, accepting his

Pre-Registrations for the Fantastic ‘GRIS’ on Android Are Now Live on Google Play

TouchArcade Rating: GRIS ($4.99) from Nomada Studio and Devolver Digital was announced for iOS a while ago. The fantastic exploration platformer with some of the best aesthetics in years arrived on iOS and the port was really good. Read my review of it here. I adore GRIS and hope more people play it. If you’ve been waiting for an Android version, your wait might soon come to an end. Nioh 2 Video Review

Nioh 2 is not to be trifled with. Building on the original's tough-as-nails reputation, Team Ninja's second samurai action-RPG brings back the original's penchant for punishing and highly nuanced combat. The sequel hones the original's distinctive take on the Souls-like without completely reinventing itself. The result is a long, tough slog that will push even the most challenge-hungry players to their breaking points as they fight for every inch of ground and become master samurai.Despite the title, Nioh 2 is a prequel, revealing the secret history of a decades-long period

Ori And The Will Of The Wisps Video Review

Ori and the Blind Forest was a delight in 2015--a tough-as-nails combination of a metroidvania structure and Meat Boy-like demands with a surprising amount of heartfelt heft. Five years later, Moon Studios' followup, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, is every bit as graceful and lovely as its predecessor, even if some of the emotional beats and exploration feel a little less novel the second time around. Will of the Wisps picks up almost immediately where Blind Forest left off, with Ori's patchwork family unit welcoming a new member, the

Mortal Kombat 4, The 1997 Klassic, Is Now Available On GOG

Mortal Kombat 4, the largely-forgotten follow-up to the frequently re-released Mortal Kombat Trilogy, has returned to sale on GOG. The game, which originally released in 1998 for PC, Nintendo 64, and PlayStation, after an arcade debut in 1997, costs $6 and is DRM-free.The game has been updated to work with modern Windows operating systems, and ports across everything fans will remember from this slightly offbeat entry in the Mortal Kombat series. There are weapons that can be picked up and used, interactive backgrounds, secrets and codes (sorry, "kodes") to enter,

Simogo and Annapurna Interactive Enter Multi-Year Partnership for Games on All Platforms

TouchArcade Rating: While Sayonara Wild Hearts () from Simogo and Annapurna Interactive is definitely one of the best games in recent times for me, Xbox One and PC owners have only recently been able to experience the awesome pop album experience. Read my review of it here. Today, Simogo and Annapurna Interactive have announced a multi-year partnership that will see Annapurna Interactive publish Simogo games on all platforms. Hopefully this includes mobile as well because while I’m glad to see Simogo games on consoles, they absolutely know how to make

‘Castlevania: Symphony of the Night’ Review – It Will Steal Your Soul

TouchArcade Rating:There are some things that you don’t realize you want until you actually have them, and for me this mobile port of Konami’s classic Castlevania: Symphony of the Night ($2.99) is one of them. This is one of my favorite games of all-time, one that I obsessed over for a couple of years following its release on the PlayStation in 1997. I found every item, uncovered every secret, and squeezed out every last percentage point of map exploration. I’ve replayed it time and again on various platforms and have
