How to find every Phoenix Summon Crystal in FF7 Rebirth

There are three Phoenix Summon Crystals to find, and I’ve labeled their locations on the map above. When you reach the region, you can gather two of them, but the final one is a little harder to obtain. Before you go hunting for Summon Crystals, you’ll need a Chocobo, so make sure you hit the ranch before exploring. Let me explain how to get each Summon Crystal.

Phoenix Summon Crystal #1

You’ll likely stumble upon this Summon Crystal by accident, as there’s a side quest nearby. The area looks complex, but it’s pretty straightforward, and you’ll need a Chocobo to scale the walls. 

Watch for the only crossroad on the route (pictured above). Ride your Chocobo up the wall on the left, and you’ll find the Phoenix Summon Crystal Shrine at the top.

Phoenix Summon Crystal #2

The second Summon Crystal is the easiest of the bunch. Follow the road on the map until you hit a vertical wall that requires a Chocobo to climb. When you reach the top, follow the path, and the Shrine is a short walk ahead.

Phoenix Summon Crystal #3

The final Summon Crystal in this area is locked behind some progress in the story. I’ll try to keep the guide as spoiler-free as possible, but I will mention story details here.

You’ll need to complete the When Words Won’t Do side quest to access the area. The fastest way to access this mission is to refuse the dolphin ride with Priscilla and talk to Rhonda, standing by the Inn. During the quest, you’ll have to escort a dog across the entire region. At the end of the trail, you’ll reach the entrance to a village you previously couldn’t enter. Once the cutscene concludes, head into the Crows Nest.

Travel straight through the village and leave via the south exit. The moment you’re outside, take a sharp left toward the cliffside and follow the path down into the cave and shrine.
