An enigmatic point and clicker, there’s only one real question kicking around with the release of The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo. Are you able to put him back together?

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo releases on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC. It’s a bit of a surreal one if we’re honest, as we get thrown into a nonsensical world and left to get on with it. Our task – to find the many piece of Mr. Coo and ensure that he is whole again. 

Can you put him back together again?

It’s the art style that will probably draw you in to The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo. Cartoony and colourful, this is seemingly a fresh new take on a point and click genre that occasionally needs a shift. And as the name suggest, full focus is on the titular Mr. Coo, a creation of Nacho Rodriguez. Having previously appeared in a series of short films, it’s now time for Mr. Coo to hit the big time, releasing on the gaming scene. 

Humour is rife in The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo. As are wacky characters, a strange world and more. In fact, we’re not sure how we’re going to get through this one for review without breaking out a smile or five. It certainly looks like this will be one of the most intriguing releases of the week – and the month of September for that matter

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo is available to purchase and download from the Xbox Store. It’s playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, fully optimised for the latter consoles.

You’ll also find this one on PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and PC. There are some physical editions of the game available away from Xbox too.

The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo is a surrealist point’n’click graphic adventure. Mr. Coo is stuck in a weird, nonsensical world, and he needs your help to get out of it -but first of all, he needs to find all his pieces and be whole again!- There might be some philosophical strife behind all this nonsense, but with all the chaotic monsters, crazy robots and one-eyed ladies, it’s kinda hard to say.

With an astounding and colorful hand-drawn 2D cartoon art, and a surrealist and whimsical story, full of absurd humor, wacky characters and crazy situations and innovative puzzles, The Many Pieces Mr. Coo is a fresh take of the graphic adventure genre that will bring together veterans of these gamers and newcomers alike.

Mr. Coo and this game are creations of the acclaimed artist Nacho Rodríguez. 2D animator and director, Rodríguez has been nominated to the Goya Awards for his short film “A lifestory”. He also was lead animator of the game O.zen at Ubisoft. Mr. Coo is one of his most celebrated characters, having appeared in several hilarious short films.
