Atlanta Braves Trade for Raisel Iglesias

The Atlanta Braves have completed a trade with the Los Angeles Angeles to acquire Raisel Iglesias according to ESPN’s Jeff Passan.

Iglesias, 32, is an eight-year veteran who has played for the Reds and Angels. He has a 3.13 career ERA with 156 saves. This season, his ERA is 4.04 and he has registered 16 saves.

The addition of Iglesias helps a strength for the Braves, as their bullpen has a 3.18 ERA, which is good enough for fifth in the league. Atlanta is hoping to compete for a championship and have a 62-41 record.

Los Angeles has traded away some of their key players, as they hope to build around Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout in the future. Iglesias and Noah Syndergaard were both traded right before the trade deadline.

There is no word on the return the Angels will receive.
