Atlanta to Host 2025 MLB All-Star Game

Atlanta to Host 2025 MLB All-Star Game

After losing the 2021 MLB All-Star Game due to Georgia State Legislature’s decision to pass the “Election Integrity Act of 2021,” and the public fervor surrounding it, Atlanta has another chance at it. The Atlanta Braves will now officially host the 2025 MLB All-Star Game, and the events leading up to it.

The Braves made an announcement on their Twitter page on Thursday.

As stated above, Atlanta originally was awarded the 2021 All-Star Game. The state of Georgia then passed voting laws that would make it harder for certain communities to vote in elections, thus disenfranchising those voters. Many people became so upset about this that they full-throatedly supported the game be moved out of the state entirely.

Those groups of people were heard and their wishes were granted. In fact, President Biden even weighed in, saying he was in support of moving the game. Now, they’ll have another chance in less than two years. Atlanta has been home to the Super Bowl, CFP National Championship, the Olympics and more. This will be the city’s first All-Star game since 2000.
